1. First mission: Kunduz, Afghanistan 2014
Many things could be said about the reality in emergency contexts, specially in conflict zones. The fact is that we can´t forget they do exist and the majority of the time they are living the consequences of the problems that developed countries gave and left into them… Hence, we should be giving as much solutions also.
… To be a Clinical Engineer, and actually, to be any kind of professional working in the field, means first to be able to unlearned whatever you know, to be open to be taught by the people and then, to rebuild on what they have with your own experience and sharing your knowledge … Then you are serving people. 
“How can we plan our stock for next year?
- Why should I plan my medical stock?... You know, a bomb can kill me tomorrow; I don´t even plan my wedding!” 
“We need tools, manual and spare parts to repair our X-Ray?
- The manufacturer to come?!... They won´t come because of security issues… The new original spare parts to arrive?!... It could be in one year, let’s cannibalize the old donated equipment.”
“In this training, it was the first time they understood the importance of using protective equipment against radiation and then they started using it properly.”
