What is Web 2.0? Web 2.0 allows you to create your own content on the world wide web with little to no technical knowledge. David Pogue, NYT--Web 2.0 is when a website’s material is supplied by it’s visitors.

Google and other social networks have teamed up to introduce a common set of standards to write programs for Orkut, LinkedIn, hi5, Friendster, Plaxo, and Ning Facebook applications - games, “who’s hot”, sending messages, etc. Microsoft has made a $240 investment in Facebook.

Syndication/Aggregation
Allows you to get a quick list of the latest headlines and updated information from all your favorite websites, blogs, and podcasts all at once. “Live Bookmarking” Updated information from the feed is automatically downloaded to your computer and can be viewed in Internet Explorer and other programs. A feed contains entries, which may be headlines, full- text articles, excerpts, summaries, and/or links to content on a web site. RSS and Atom are two very popular feeds.
