Planner or planning sheets Notebook(s) or 3 ring binders designated for each class

5 Organizing School Technology Sites
Teachers use a variety of technology to post homework, calendars, test information etc. Have your student complete a technology form that will clearly list the teacher’s name, class technology information, and passwords. Parents, you should be able to access this information as well!

6 MiStar Know your MiStar password
This is how you can check your student’s academic progress MiStar is a real-time site; don’t get caught up in checking multiple times a day or week. Parents = Once a week Students = Twice a week

7 Studying/reviewing class materials Extracurricular activities
Time Management Balance is key! Completing homework Studying/reviewing class materials Extracurricular activities

8 Seminar Students should be utilizing the benefits of seminar
Students should be meeting with teachers for: Test review; help on assignments; making up missing work It should NOT be a time to complete homework (with the exception of a few cases) It should NOT be a social hour
