23 Class Discussions It is imperative you understand and honor the following: Opinions vary on all subjects Each and every one has the right to an opinion, and has the right for that opinion to be heard, no matter how unique it may be Topics of discussion may “stir things up”; I will often play Devil’s Advocate to goad you to consider multiple facets of an argument

24 Class Discussions One of my goals is for you to feel comfortable enough to express your opinions freely and confidently in class discussions If you are not sure of your opinion, or are uninformed, about a topic, it is always good to listen or read first, ask questions, get a better understanding, then speak on the topic If at any time you feel uncomfortable with a topic or wish not to discuss it, please let me know, beforehand if possible
