1. How to format your paper for MLA style.
1) Set 1” margins (File, Page Setup, Margins)
2) Double-space and set a hanging indent. (Format – Paragraph – Line spacing & Special)
3) Create a header (View – Header and Footer)
Make sure the font is Times New Roman, 12 point!

2. 4) Right align your header, then type your last name and a space.
5) After the space click the icon for “insert page number”
6) Now close the header
7) Type your heading and title (Works Cited)
8) Begin typing source information in ABC order!

3. When you are ready to write your biographical sketch, you will open a new Word Document and format it the same way EXCEPT there will NOT be a hanging indent!
