SUNDAY 11th March 2018 Lent Soup Evening
The churches together lent soup evening has been rescheduled to Thursday the 15th March. Free CAP Curry evening I work for Christians Against Poverty and we are having a free curry night on 24th March at 7.15pm at Aagrah Banqueting Restaurant, BD3 7AY to tell people about our work. It will be a great and very inspiring evening talking about the work that Christians Against Poverty do and a wonderful opportunity to hear from some of our clients. We will be asking people to support or increase their support of CAP's work on the night. Although I won’t be able to attend myself, If you are interested please do let me know. Contact me (Helen Webb) on: or Friday Gathering We are planning the next 3 Gathering dates. We suggest 13th April, 11th May and Friday 8th June 2018, 8-10 pm, at 43 Jackson Avenue (Rick and Joy's home). We promise to have more chairs to sit on, borrowed from neighbours! Then we will take a break over the summer & start again in the Autumn. We will be worshiping, praying and listening to God. The mantel has passed to us and it is now time to step up ... We'd love to see you there! Set up in April - The Monday Group This morning we are Thomas Jay Oord will be speaking to us on, ‘A Skeleton in God's Closet: evil and suffering.’ Mark Baxby will be leading our worship today. We will also be celebrating communion today. Welcome to Chapel A THIS COMING WEEK Tuesdays at 11am in the church office - a short prayer meeting with the staff and whoever would like to pray for Chapel A. Housegroups generally meet on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Please see notice board in corridor. Tuesdays - Totally Tuesday for Years 5-7, pm in Chapel All. Methodist Hall. Wednesday – WOW youth group for Years 8+ in Chapel Allerton Methodist Hall. Please contact Hannah Dey on or about any of our usual groups for young people. Fairtrade Event The Beehive (the only Fairtrade shop in Leeds) is holding its annual Fairtrade cafe as part of Fairtrade Fortnight. This will take place on Saturday 17th March at the Methodist Centre, Town Street, Chapel Allerton from 10.30am pm. Delicious homemade cakes, teas and coffees will be served. We'd love to see you there! Church Meeting Our next church meeting will be held tomorrow, Monday 12th March at 7.45pm at Mark and Rachel Riches house, 86 Potternewton Lane. All Welcome.
