Project Guidelines Part One: The Poster
Create a mosaic (a picture or decoration made up of diverse elements) Use facts, quotes, thoughts, words, etc. from your book to showcase your knowledge Complete your mosaic on poster board or construction paper (something larger than an 8x11 piece of paper) Be creative and have fun!

One Important Quote, Speaker and Significance to the Plot (remember to use a parenthetical citation) 8. 2-3 Sentence Explanation of Theme (the theme may not be just one word) 9. Text-to-Self (or World) (3-4 Sentences) 10. Your Favorite Part of the Book and Why (2-3) sentences 11. 12. Text-to-Text Connection (3-4 sentences) 13. A New Vocabulary Word, Its Definition and a Sentence Using the Word 14. Illustration of Setting 15. Climax of the Plot (3-5 sentences) 16. One Important Quote, Speaker and Significance to the Plot 17. Illustration or Picture of Something Important to the Main Character (2-3 sentence explanation of importance must be included) 18. Statement and Explanation of Conflict (type of conflict must be included) 19. What would you change about this book and why? 20. YOUR CHOICE!

Present your mosaic to the class Give the title and author Give a brief summary Choose 3-5 squares to explain (make sure the class will understand the information without reading the book) Give specific reasons why you might recommend the book to others Presentations are formal (you need to rehearse at home) Presentations must be 3-5 minutes long
