SYMPTOMS OF DRUG ADDICTION
Physical - Running nose - Purging - Stomach pain - Muscle pain - Sweating - Trembling - Yawning nausea & vomiting - Enlarged eye pupil - Fever

TREATMENT 2 Stages: - To end the physical addiction - Takes 5 days
- Maximum addiction up to hours since the last drug intake

TREATMENT USED Tranquilizer & Symplomatic Treatment (RM 150-200)
Pixarit (RM ) Medication to reduce blood pressure - need to be admitted to the hospital for at least 5 days

- Painless withdrawal - Need to be admitted to the hospital for 5 days

At the end of Treatment 2 urine test will be conducted to ensure no more heroin is left

LONG TERM TREATMENT (USING PREVENTIUE MEDICATION) - RM 10/DAY Naltrexone (Trexan) Should the addict continue to take drugs after treatment - He will have severe, stomach ache and muscle pain - vomit - purging - admitted to the ICU

Warning - doctors must be careful in prescribing naltrexone because it can be fatal
