Color negative space (background) and leave positive space (still life) in pencil.

Cut out still life and glue onto unlikely background (flower arrangement setting on beach or ocean, hat/boots in field of wildflowers)

Diminish or subtract details in positive space (still life) and have negative space (background) colorful and bright or detailed with pencil value.
