Points will be deducted for incomplete homework, disruptive behavior, etc. -The scorecard will add up to 100 points for an entire week if your child receives all 5’s. -90 and 100 points for the week will earn $5 “Bonus Bucks”, on Friday. -The scorecard will run from Friday to Thursday, so that students will have their scorecard signed Thursday. -ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE THEIR SCORECARD SIGNED BY A PARENT ON THURSDAY TO BE REWARDED THEIR BUCKS ON FRIDAY. -The students will have a chance to spend the bonus bucks they earn at the 4th grade auction. Grading Grade Weighting
35% - Tests, Performance Assessments, In-School Projects, End of Unit Writing 30% - Quizzes, Home Projects, Oral Presentations 25% - Classwork 10% - Homework Recovery Grade Policies: If a student makes below a 70% on a test, and that grade makes their overall grade fall below a 70%, they will have the opportunity to retake the test. The grade earned on the recovery test will be recorded as a 70% for the recovery test regardless of the actual test score. For example, if a student made a 50 % on Test #1, and retook the test and scored an 85% on Test #2, the grade recorded in the gradebook would be a 70%. It will be noted that they made the 85% so that we know they now understand the material, but the 70% will be the grade they will get for the test; not an average of the two tests.
