Life after levels Pupils are no longer assessed through levels instead they have either met the standard or not SATs/optional SATs give pupils a scaled score Pupils are assessed once a term with SATs for Year 6 in May 2018 100 means that a pupil has met the standard CGP have a range of books that can help you support your child with the new curriculum

Timetable PE is on Tuesday and Friday
Mr Hunt teaches DT/Geography/History/RE on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon During this time Miss Pinfield and Mrs Thomson run catch up sessions On Thursday Mrs Lane takes Year 5 for maths and Miss Pinfield takes Year 6

Homework Spellings – try the different activities each week on the sheet. Initial when they have been completed. There will be a spellings test the 1st week and a dictation task the 2nd week.

Homework Mental maths Each week will be a new times table and related facts. Work on your corrections and then questions for the following week

Homework Pupils should read at least 5x a week. This should be 3x to an adult and 2x to themselves Pupils can choose their own books in the class They are encouraged to read a range of different types of books If you feel your child can read fluently and understand the text then ask for questions to extend your child Mr Goodright is planning to take the children to the library with their library card
