1 Attacking the EOC

2 If you try to get in the way of learning, it won’t be pretty
If you try to get in the way of learning, it won’t be pretty. I have NO chill today. 11 school days until the EOC.

3 In order for this to be successful, I need you to be laser focused.

4 Comma Rule #1 List or series I like to cook, read, sing, and dance.
She eats chocolate, popcorn, and chips, while watching a movie. I told you to sit up straight, pay attention, and do your work.

5

6 Comma Rule #2 2. FANBOYS (use a comma and FANBOYS when joining two complete sentences) I have painted the entire house, but he is still working on sanding the doors.  He doesn’t think he needs to study, and he’d rather just guess. The dog chased the cat, so it hid.

7

8 Comma rule #3 3. Introductory clauses (If, when, while, because, etc.)
While I was eating, the cat scratched at the door. Until someone confesses, we’ll have to remove privileges from the classroom. If anyone asks, I’ll be in the library.

9

10 Comma Rule #4 4. Appositive or non-essential clause (use commas to separate words or phrases that act as added commentary and are not necessary) I am, as you have probably noticed, very nervous about this test. She used a gym bag, with ripped edges, to take her athletic clothes to school. My best friend, Alan ,caught a huge trout yesterday.
