Now children write sentences in their journals.

4. Math Then children counted objects.
Now children add and subtract on the computer.

5. Music Then children sing along with teacher.
Now children sing and dance.

6. Block Center Then children build with blocks.
Now children build with blocks and props and write stories in the block journal.

7. Home Center Then children play “housekeeping”.
Now children act out life in the home center and make grocery lists in the home journal.

8. Art Center Then children painted at an easel.
Now children paint and then write a story to go with their picture.

9. Lunch Then children were served lunch.
Now children choose their own lunch.
