Proposed activities and changes made
Objective is to retain the tranquil, unspoilt atmosphere and natural feel of the site. Nature is the over-arching theme As originally envisaged: walking, bird watching, fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, outdoor activities, day time events. Greater emphasis is being placed on the latter two items No longer envisaged: evening events, outdoor amplified sound Never envisaged: overnight camping/overnight stays, dinghy sailing, high wires, fireworks, cycling (other than e.g. road cyclists visiting the café) Changes to buildings: outdoor activity centre reoriented to northern edge of meadow; enlarged briefing room can be used for daytime events and for use by the community
