1. Electronic IV Therapy Request Form: Tip sheet
Be sure to check the top of the request form to see if an IVT nurse is on duty
To start the IVT request form: From the Actions menu Click “IV Therapy Request Form”
Please do not submit requests when IVT team is not on duty. Report the need for IV placement to oncoming nurse, if possible use next shift resources before submitting IVT request 4.
Important!! Be sure to remove the request if IVT services are no longer needed.
Acknowledge box turns from white to green when acknowledged, turns red if not acknowledged within 60 mins
All IVT requests will get a priority when acknowledged, the IVT nurse will add their initials when the request is in their working queue
