Summary In the eight circle, crossing the eight pouch which holds the fraudulent counselors are consumed in flame. Virgil speaks to Ulysses and Diomedes whom share the same flame. Ulysses tells about the story of his final adventure.

Fraudulent Counselors

New Characters Ulysses and Diomedes are enduring the same punishment.
Their two flames are connected together, looking like the tip of a snakes tongue. They are in hell because they used deception ( the trojan horse) to take the walls of troy.

Location of Dante He is on top of the bridge that crosses the eighth pouch in the eight circle of hell. He is looking down at the sinners of Fraudulent Counselors, these sinners are locked forever in a flame.

Scenery The atmosphere is around evening time, the ground is very rocky, and the sinners in the eighth circle look like fire flies at a distance.

Ulysses Tale He could not stay home any more and decided to go on an adventure. Set sail towards the sun and found mount purgatory. Then God sends a whirlwind that tosses his boat around, then sinks it.
