Kinetic Energy and Reaction Rate
(Graph on pg. 18 of textbook.) As temperature increases, more particles possess the minimum energy required to react, so the rate increases. (Though increasing temperature also increases the number of collisions, this effect has less impact than the increase in energy of the particles.) 5 min

Reaction Rate Rule-of-Thumb
For a SLOW reaction, a 10°C temperature increase DOUBLES the reaction rate.
