A Hectic Day for a Hepatology Consultant

2. Case
“Consultants” will start each lecture with 1 slide of the chief complaint they were called to evaluate and a few salient facts that focus on the differential diagnosis. The Consultant will then discuss clinical reasoning for each of ~4 differential diagnoses or topics being considered. Special emphasis will be placed on pathophysiology and new knowledge associated with diagnosis and management that will be communicated in a manner to educate outpatient referring physicians or the multidisciplinary inpatient care teams.
Presentations should include the appropriate references and must meet HIPAA compliance standards when displaying patient information.
Emphasize areas that may overlap with pediatrics
