P4 Mother Tongue Language e-Oral Exam (Simplified)
MOE has rolled-out the e-Oral examination starting from this year for the Primary 6 students taking their PSLE. As parents with a Primary Four child, I am sure you would like to find out more details about the e-Oral examination. In the e-Oral examination, a conversation based on a video will replace the “Picture Description” component. Students will be required to watch a 1 minute video and express their views and opinions relating to the theme.
15
Why e-Oral? To provide a more engaging and realistic context to stimulate conversation through use of video clips instead of line drawing as stimuli. This is to extend the use of Mother Tongue languages as a living, everyday interactive language via the use of ICT. Videos are used in place of pictures as test stimulus in oral assessments as it is a better medium to better portray real-life situations and provides authentic contexts for oral conversation and discussion.

Some children are butterflies-beautiful and stunning.
Every child matters… Some children are butterflies-beautiful and stunning. Some children are fireflies that are often not noticeable in the day.
18
When a firefly glow, its an amazing sight.
