2 Introduction Plant reproduction is a valuable aspect of Agri-science research Understanding of this process, scientists can create new and better species The result is that plants are able to survive less desirable conditions, thus increasing food production for the world.

3 What are the types of plant propagation?
Sexual Asexual Cuttings Layering Division Tissue culture

4 Sexual Propagation Floral (flower) parts of plants have the ability to form seeds

5 Asexual Propagation Utilize a part or parts of one parent plant

6 Cuttings A part is cut from the parent plant and then forms roots

7 Layering A part of the plant forms new roots while still attached to the parent plant

8 Division A plant is separated into smaller parts (including roots)

9 Tissue culture A very small part of a plant is used to grow a new plant in a sterile environment Tissue culture is also known as micro propagation. Many plants can be grown from a single-leaf.
