What can you do to help? Read together every day and ask questions about the story. Use number problems in every day life, at the shops, on the bus, telling the time etc. Encourage your child to do homework when it is given. Encourage your child to practise spellings for Friday’s spelling test. Help your child to be ready to learn and not tired when they come to school – early to bed on school nights and a healthy breakfast each morning. Good attendance and punctuality. Continue to work on targets set at parent’s evening.
