1. Declaration of Independence Project
Students will read the Declaration of Independence, they will then work in pairs to write the Declaration of Independence in modern day terms. Once they do this they will compare the Declaration of Independence to Janet Jackson’s song titled “Control.” The final product that the students will produce is a song or rap based on the Declaration of Independence.
