January 9th-13th ELA:  We are going to read a nonfiction text titled Sonia Sotomayor. We are going to finish revising and editing our rough drafts. In grammar, our skill for the week is verbs and adverbs. Vocabulary: Unexpected: “not expected.” If something is unexpected it is surprising. You did not expect, or think, that it would happen. Abandon: “leave and not return.” Industrious: “hardworking.” Comfy: “comfortable.” Successful: If you are successful, you do what you set out to do or do something well. Unsuccessful: “not successful.” If you are unsuccessful, you do not accomplish what you set out to do. Math: Our math skill this week, Monday thru Wednesday is interpreting graphs.
