Participation in NCAA competition is a privilege, not a right. Eligibility is determined by high-school academic work (Your Grade Point Average in your CORE courses combined with your ACT score). English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and World Language.

Numbers and People to Remember
2.3 – The minimum High School Grade Point Average (GPA) in your core courses needed to participate freshman year in college 16 – The number of required credits in your core courses It is very important to let your counselor know that you want to play sports in college!

Recommended High School Classes for College Entrance
4 years English (4) 3 years Math (3) 3 years Science (2.5) 3 years Social Studies (2.5) 2 years World Language (0) TOTAL = 15 Credits BHS TOTAL = 12 Credits

Core Course Requirements
16 core courses 4 years English 3 years mathematics (Algebra I or higher) 2 years science (one must be a lab) 1 year additional English, math or science 2 years social studies 4 years additional core courses (from any area above or foreign language, nondoctrinal religion or philosophy)
