10. MARINE PROTECTED AREAS (MPAS)
MPAs have restrictions on fishing and other activities.
Here we can find higher biodiversity and resilience.
What can we do? MPAs are one attempt to provide safe areas for fish to regrow their numbers. They are like national parks in the ocean. Talk about spill over into fishing areas. Can be controversial because it usually means someone has to fish somewhere else.
