Ex: Wolf eats the rabbit

8. Prey An animal that is hunted and killed by another for food
Ex: Rabbit eaten by Wolf

9. Parasite
An organism that lives in or on another organism and benefits by deriving
Nutrients at the expense of the host
Must live off host to survive (harmful)
Ex: tick on a deer

10. Host The organism that supports the parasite
An animal or plant that a parasite lives on or in
The organism that supports the parasite
Ex: Dog supports the heartworm parasite

Ex: All plants and animals
