2 SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT TIMELINE
2011 October SIP Team meets with ESU staff developer to design a process for continuous SIP. SIP team attends NDE SIP workshop in Omaha. November SIP Leadership Team meets with ESU staff developer to build a time-line of SIP activities. SIP Leadership Team determines a consistent time to meet (Who is the Leadership Team?). SIP Leadership Team develops surveys for various stakeholders. Planning for the January data retreat begins. SIP team begins developing and organizing the Profile. December Process begins for district AdvancED accreditation; work with Freida Lange, NDE Accreditation Director, and ESU. Final planning for Data Retreat.

3 2012 January Data Retreat. SIP Leadership Team: Possible Goal(s) that emerged from the Data Retreat. Surveys completed and prepared for distribution. February Completed surveys analyzed. SIP Leadership Team: Shares possible goal(s) with staff; decision made. March & April SIP Committees and Leadership Team build the SIP Action plan. QAR Training for SIP Leadership Team. Profile reviewed by staff. May SIP Committees and Leadership Team share the SIP Action plan with staff. SIP Leadership Team designs the Professional Development plan for supporting the SIP goal(s). Summer SIP Leadership Team prepares for August Opening Days activities. August SIP activities during Opening Days. Final preparations for Readiness Visit. September Readiness Visit for district accreditation. October Prepare for January Data Retreat. November SIP Leadership Team analyzes Readiness Visit Report. December Final preparations for January Data Retreat.

4 2013 January Data Retreat. February Self-Assessment (SA) completed by entire staff. SIP Leadership Team reviews the draft SA. Writing begins for the SA narratives. March Profile updated. Writing continues for the SA narratives. April May Completed SA reviewed by entire staff. SIP Leadership Team designs the Professional Development plan for supporting the SIP goal(s). Summer SA finalized and ready for submission to AdvancED. SIP Leadership Team prepares for August Opening Days activities. August SIP activities during Opening Days. September Coordinate QAR visit with Team Chair. Prepare for January Data Retreat. October Continue preparations for QAR Visit. November December Final preparations for January Data Retreat.

5 2014 January SA submitted to AdvancED. Data Retreat. February Final preparations for QAR Visit (work with Team Chair). March April QAR Visit must be completed by April 1, 2014. May Celebrate! Debrief QAR Report as a SIP Leadership Team. Debrief QAR Report as a staff. Revise SIP action plan to reflect QAR Required Actions. SIP Leadership Team designs the Professional Development plan for supporting the SIP goal(s).
