3 Context Ageing Family Caregiver Role ICT in Health
It is expected that in 2050, the aging index will be 2.43 and the proportion of older people will be around 32%, making Portugal the fourth EU country with the highest percentage of elderly (INE, 2013) Ageing The process of family dependence has an impact on quality of life and well-being of family caregivers   This role determines the acquisition of new skills Family Caregiver Role Increasing use of educational platforms for citizens health education Need to provide reliable health information to ensure and protect citizens from misleading information (HON, 1997) ICT in Health 3

4 Study purpose "Caring for Dependents"
To evaluate the satisfaction of family caregivers with the use of interactive educational technology "Caring for Dependents" 4

5 Matherial and Method Convenience sample
Participants: 32 family caregivers of dependent person hospitalized in two medicine clinical set of a hospital centre Inclusion critera: Acept to participate in the study Older than 18 years Acess to internet at home Basic skils to deal with the computer or support of a significant person for the purpose 6

6 Matherial and Method Sample collection held during mars to july 2014: first contact during the visits of family caregivers to the family member who was hospitalized The caregivers have acess through the link: allowing access to educational technology at home and had a guide to navigate this tool. 6

7 Matherial and Method Caregivers have access to educational technology at home over the Internet. After a month, these 32 families fill out a satisfaction questionnaire on the use of educational technology. Instrument: Questionnaire for User Interaction Satisfaction (QUIS), version 7.0 7

N=32: Male (5) Female (27) Age: M- 59, 69 years (DP=12,80) Affinity: daughters- 62,5% spouse - 15,6% Shcolarity : M- 8,34 years (DP=4,57). Married: 65,6% Live with dependent person :68,7% Time spent in providing assistance: M- 5,4 yeras 10

24 Conclusion T We develop a trusted and user-friendly site. The major innovative element will be the platform interactivity’ conception meeting with users needs, helping them in their decision making and allowing family caregivers to decide which information they want to know and learn about. learn 16
