Can watching facial expressions tell if someone is lying or not?
QUESTION Can watching facial expressions tell if someone is lying or not?
3
Purpose The purpose of my investigation is to determine if by watching someone's facial expression you can tell if they are lying or not! This is important to know because if someone is lying then you can tell.
4
HYPOTHESIS I hypothesis that if you watch a facial expression you can tell if someone is lying or not. I believe this because I think you can see their face when lying because they probably never made that face before.

3. Ask student to tell two sentences – one false and one true
STEP BY STEP 1. Gather materials 2. Walk to a student 3. Ask student to tell two sentences – one false and one true 4. Record which one you believe to be true and which one you believe to be false. 5. Ask student to tell you which one was true and which one was false 6. Record whether you were correct or incorrect. 7. Repeat steps 1-6 four more times 8. Repeat steps 1-6 for four more trials.

Conclusion My hypothesis was correct. When watching a facial expression, you can tell if someone is lying or not. I think we should have done 12 boys and 13 girls so it would be kind of even.
