The most important homework!
Books should be at the child’s reading level.
Read for at least 20 minutes per night.
Write a one-sentence summary.
Any reading is okay, but reading an entire book is recommended.

“Grades”
Standards-based planning, assessing and reporting
E means your child consistently works independently on above grade-level work and exceeds the grade-level standards
M means your child has met the grade-level standard
P means your child is progressing toward meeting the grade-level standard
I means your child is making insufficient growth toward meeting the standards.
