Circuits & Voltage
2
Continuing with Circuit Lab…
Continue building your circuits and getting your readings for the circuit lab. REMEMBER: Set the multimeter to 200m DCA Set the multimeter up in series
3
What does the Battery do to The circuit? What does the Lightbulb do to The circuit? What does the wire do to The circuit?
4
What are the Differences Between these Circuits?

A Circuit as a String Activity
What was the battery? What was the lightbulb? How was current represented? How was voltage represented?
9
So…what are volts??? Volts are a measure of how much energy is being supplied to the circuit Voltage is measured in VOLTS Energy is measured in JOULES 1 volt = 1 joule per Coulomb of charge
10
So what do you measure them with?
Volts are measured with a voltmeter (also available on a multimeter) Voltmeters must be connect in PARALLEL
