Prohibited restrictions on the right to vote based on race or color.

Citizens could vote for senators instead of state legislatures.

Outlaws the manufacture, sell or importation of intoxicating beverages
No more Alcohol

9. 21st Amendment Repeals (overturns) the 18th Amendment
Alcohol legal again

10. 23RD AMENDMENT
Citizens of Washington, D.C. the right to vote for President.
Why couldn’t they vote before?

11. 24TH AMENDMENT
Abolished the poll tax. (A tax that African Americans and poor whites had to pay in order to vote.)
Southern states.

12. 26TH AMENDMENT
Lowered the voting age from 21 to 18.
Why?
