As a child he grew up in Yorkshire by a village called Hipperholme. He loved art and would spend hours drawing with his dad. He wanted to be a journalist, cartoonist, or a boxer.
As a adult
As you can see Anthony Browne is a author, he has written books like: My mum, zoo, gorilla, the shape game, noises in the park and Willy the wimp and he has written about 40 books.

He was once asked to do a children's books show with gorillas but one bit him on the leg.
He used to go in a pub which he grew up in and would stand on a table and tell story's
His character willy was based on his younger life
He wanted a trumpet for his birthday but got a plastic one instead.
He wore short trousers until he was 15
