5 PITCH EXAMPLE Once upon a time there was a widowed fish, named Marlin, who was extremely protective of his only son, Nemo. Every day … Marlin warned Nemo of the ocean’s dangers and implored him not to swim far away. One day … in an act of defiance, Nemo ignores his father’s warnings and swims into the open water. Because of that … he is captured by a diver and ends up in the fish tank of a dentist in Sydney. Because of that … Marlin sets off on a journey to recover Nemo, enlisting the help of other sea creatures along the way. Until finally … Marlin and Nemo find each other, reunite and learn that love depends on trust.

6 ANOTHER PITCH Once upon a time there was a dad who dearly loved his son. Every day the dad cared for him while his mom worked away from home. One day while driving into town, the dad misjudged the speed of an oncoming car while stopped at an intersection. Because of that, a devastating crash was imminent, but just before the collision, time stopped. Because of that, the dad exited the car and pled with the oncoming driver to spare his son’s life. Until finally, both realized nothing could be changed, they returned to their cars, time restarted, and the oncoming car T-boned the car, no doubt killing the son.

One day in a usual act of sneakiness, Mr. Adorable escaped and found himself at a neighboring farm where he met an unlikely friend, the Clydesdale. Because of that Mr. Adorable continued to slip away to visit his friend but without fail the farmer continued to drag him back. Because of that the center owner sold Mr. Adorable and sent him off to his new home. Until finally in a heroic feat of courage the Clydesdales unite, barring Mr. Adorable from being taken away, to ensure that he and his best friend would remain together forever.
