5 Ways to Start your Narrative
Introduce a quote: Growing up, I’ve always heard the saying, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” Dialogue (Talking): “Wake up!” my mom was shouting. Sound Effect (Onomatopoeia): “Brrring!” rang the alarm. Ask a Question: Have you ever been late on the first day of school? Action Lead: I jumped out of bed, raced to the closet, and threw on an outfit. Snapshot of a small moment: My eyelids slowly opened, and I wondered why it was so bright. I gasped and reached for my clock Flashback: I have only slept in once, but it was one of the worst mistakes I’ve ever made!
