3. Background Born in Topeka Kansas.
started the Cisco academy at a young age in high school, so that sparked his interest in IST.
IST was always his first choice.

4. Why Mercer? Was offered a baseball scholarship.
Really enjoyed touring the campus and meeting the professors.
One professor in particular (Dr. Digh) made it a very easy transition and made him feel very comfortable on the academic side.
Felt that the campus overall was welcoming.

5. Advantages of Mercer
Went to two other schools before Mercer trying to find his way academically. Mercer became the school that helped him settle in.
The quality of professors are hands-down the advantage.
Small classroom sizes.

6. Extracurricular activities at Mercer
Played 2 years of baseball.
Helped around the Computer Science Building.

7. Accomplishments IST Junior of the year.
Being able to represent Mercer through his favorite sport.
Graduating.
Becoming a System Engineer for Cerner Corporation.

8. Advice for Freshmen
“Go out and explore college, academically and extracurricular. Meet people, go to parties, have fun.”
