The Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) is a DOD organization created to help service members pursue their educational goals and earn the degrees or certification they deserve while continuing to serve their country.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP):
- CLEP offers a series of 33 exams that let the TSM earn a college credit for introductory-level classes.
DANTES Standardized Tests (DSSTs):
- DSSTs program is an extensive series of examinations in college subjects that are comparable to the final or end-of-course examinations in undergraduate courses.
Troops to Teachers:
- Offers careers in public education as a teacher. Military personnel, active and reserve, may receive assistance to pursue a new career in public education as teachers.
