11. Rotation Speed of rotation is often measured in rpm (revolutions per minute) To make something move in a circle you need a centripetal force Angular momentum is always conserved All the quantities for linear motion have analogous quantities for rotational motion

Ex. 1: A vinyl record (radius 25 cm) turns at 45 rpm
How long does one full revolution take? How fast does a fly sitting on the edge of the record move? Ex. 2: A child on a carousel drops a fluffy toy. Which path does the toy follow?
