3. What are credits and Verified Credits?
Every class you take (and pass) in high school is worth 1 credit.
A verified credit is earned when you pass a class and the SOL test that goes with that class.

6. JFHS Schedule- 6 periods 8:55-3:35
There is the option of taking 7 periods, a “Zero Period Class” that starts at 7:55. There are only a few courses offered “Zero Period”.
Summer School is also a way to take more classes.

10. Important information about JFHS
There are 3 lunch periods at JF- go by 4th period class-not by grade level , students are allowed to choose where to sit each day.
Must change clothes for gym class.
Lockers are optional, students are allowed to carry their backpacks.

11. More Info…
Students must take and pass 5 new classes to participate in VHSL activities.
JF has 6 classes per day with an optional 0-period class that starts at 7:55 ( there are only a few classes offered)
JF does not have A/B day- every class meets everyday.

12. Counselors from JF will come to FMS in February to meet with each 8th grade student to pick out classes for next year.
