2. Explaining how to divide
Dividing is the opposite of multiplying for example 2x3=6 therefore 6÷3=2 this is true for all sums. Dividing is a good fun way to know the answer properly it is also known as the inverse.
Dividing works with all numbers when you divide by;
0 it equals zero
1 it’s the same number
2 it is half the number for example 20÷2=10 (it equals half the number)
3 it is a third of the number
4 it is a quarter of the number
5 it is a fifth.

4. Dividing numbers in the 100TH’s
It’s time to do hundreds, now work out 360÷2=
This is the the same as the previous question which was 36÷2
All you need to do is remove the zero, do the sum and remember to add the zero’s to the answer.
So what is:
360÷2= 36÷2= 18 now add the zero back to the answer and you equal 180
