2 Preliminaries Take a look at Word exercise #6.
Read the first 10 steps in the handout starting with step #1. Circle any step numbers you don’t completely understand. Starting with the first circled number, a write the question you would ask the teacher.

Touch-type using the keys controlled by each finger on both hands at 15 w.p.m. or faster. Be able to review what we’ve learned about Word thus far. Be able to ask specific constructive questions. Be able to change the appearance of text. Boldfacing, underlining and italicizing Changing text color

4 Review: Word Select text. Launch Word. Access help.
Create a blank document. Type text in a blank document. Select text. Save a document in our network home directories (H: drive). AutoCorrect Finding and replacing text

Assume responsibility for your learning by asking constructive questions. Identify instances where you don’t understand something. Be able to ask specific questions to address it. WRONG: “I don’t understand step #2…” RIGHT: “Where is the End key?”
