16 How to determine how many credits a class is worth?
The 1st number indicates the classification of the class in regards to the academic that is should be taken. Ex. GUST 1270 The “1” indicates that it is a Freshman level course The 2nd number indicates the number of credits the class is worth. The “2” indicates that the class is worth two credits.

17 Class Number Classification varies from institution to institution; however there is a general guide that is used at all Texas colleges and universities to determine the equivalent course at all other institutions.

19 Financial Aid is federal assistance in payment for higher education degrees, training and certifications. It includes: Grants Loans - Subsidized (Does not accrue interest) Un subsidized (Does accrue interest) Parent Plus (Based solely on parents’ credit) Private (Based on financial institution) If a student is under 24 years of age, he or she must include his or her parents’ information on the FAFSA, unless 1. Married 2. Parent are deceased 3. Parents are Incarcerated 4. Parents are mentally incapacitated 5. He or she has dependents (children)
