2 Agenda What is Trewern? Why should your child go? What do we do there? What will they need? How much does it cost? Questions?

3 What is Trewern? Large manor house in Hay on Wye, Wales Owned and run by LBBD Staffed by fully qualified, trained teachers (unlike other outdoor centres) Local river (River Wye) and caves (Porth yr Ogof) and waterfalls used for activities

4 Why should your child go?
Fully enriching experience, where children are taught a range of transferable skills Overcoming challenges in a safe environment Independence (important skill in Year 6) FUN!

Climbing wall Gorge walking Caving

6 What the children think:

7 Dates Monday 24th June 2019 to Friday 28th June 2019
Bonham and St George children are doing a joint trip.

8 Cost and Payment £ covers accommodation, food, tuition, equipment. The school will cover the cost of the coach. Please register your interest for your child to go on this trip. The school will then get in touch with you for a £34 non-refundable deposit. Deposits to be collected from Wednesday, 28th Feb 2018 and last day is Friday, 9th March Please pay the money to the office. Further payment of £50 due by Friday, 6th July 2018. Balance of £120 is due Friday, 15th March 2019. We can take a minimum of 30 children and a maximum of 60. We will keep a reserve list.
