Berlin, Germany Berlin was divided into 4 Sectors: French, British, US, and Soviet Berlin itself was inside the “Iron Curtain” (keeps people in, information out)

The Iron Curtain Phrase was coined by Winston Churchill, who warned of Stalin’s ambitious plans to take over Europe. Many people still saw Russia as a valuable ally, and thought Churchill was being too harsh. Churchill (16 August 1945) told British parliament, "it is not impossible that tragedy on a prodigious scale is unfolding itself behind the iron curtain which at the moment divides Europe in twain” Lasted from
