2. Electric Meter Identification
Meter Class – The maximum amount of current that the meter can handle. Meters are available in Class 20, Class 200, and Class This is similar to the difference between a 5/8” or 1” water meter
Meter Voltage – The voltage that the meter is rated for. Sensus meters are 120V or 240V depending on meter form. Honeywell meters are auto ranging 120V-480V.
Meter Form – This defines the type of service the meter is to be installed on and depends on how the utility and their customer are wired.
