5 Created in 2003 out of a need of a pediatrician in Metro Manila.
Now operates Luzon-wide with 10 branches and plans to go nationwide and be the last mile distributor. Success Factor: there is a huge untapped market of 65 million people – missing middle - that are not vaccinating. Challenges: internally generated fund is always not enough and large business groups can limit the growth of social enterprises. Social enterprises need to become formidable with the help of international fund sources which are “patient capital” to continue its social impact and stay true to its vision and finally, defend its values. Glovax mission is to make vaccination accessible, affordable and available. Glovax can expand using technology to make awareness more inclusive and this can be used by Overseas Filipino Workers to directly send money for healthcare as most of the time the recipient forgets what the money is for.
