Word “Who is my neighbor?” Take a moment to identify different individuals who could be considered our neighbor. 1. Peer Group 2. The school 3. Local community 4. Wider world

Children In Need Word Last year Children in Need awarded £177,388 to two North Devon charities committed to ‘loving their neighbor’ through their work with children and young people.

Children In Need Reflect The Junction, a drop in service for 16 and 17-year-olds who are currently or at risk of being homeless received £105,450. The money raised will cover the cost of a full time housing officer for the next three years, who will help young people with housing issues such as finding a permanent place to stay or even emergency accommodation.

Children In Need Reflect Families in Grief charity, which works to support children and families following bereavement received £71,938 . Families in Grief will use the money for a support worker to run sessions for children and young people coping with grief and loss.

Children In Need Dismiss Prayer Spaces in Schools enable students, of all faiths and none, to explore current affairs, spirituality and faith in a safe, creative and interactive way. Ilfracombe Academy Prayer Space is at the top of the art block and is open to students every lunch time. The focus this week will be ‘love your neighbor.’
