Moved the capital to Baghdad, showing how many non-Arabs converted to Islam This dynasty did not favor Arab rule and the empire became more culturally diverse. Islamic world enters into a golden age of art, education, and trade

Made advances in philosophy, mathematics (algebra), history, sciences, Girls and boys received basic education focused on literacy Recovered and preserved learning (esp. math and science) of earlier civilizations
