Ohio is the 17th state in the United States of America. Lake Erie is above it, and the Ohio River is below it. The capital of Ohio is Columbus. Its state tree is the buckeye, its state bird is the cardinal, and its state flower is the red carnation.

3. Famous People Here are some famous people that live in Ohio:
Orville and Wilbur Wright - Also known as the Wright Brothers. Created the first ever successful airplane flight.
Neil Armstrong - Neil Armstrong was the first person ever to set foot on the moon.
U.S. Presidents - Many U.S. presidents were born in Ohio, such as Ulysses Grant, James Garfield, and William Taft.

4. Bodies of Water
LAKE ERIE - Lake Erie is located directly above Ohio, and is one of the five Great Lakes. There are many cities located along the coast of Lake Erie, which make great attraction sites.
OHIO RIVER - The Ohio River flows along the southern border of Ohio, and is the largest lake in the US (beating the Mississippi). Lots of fishing and sea trading is done on the Ohio River.

There are many attractions found all over Ohio, from zoos to museums and more. Here are a few:
Cleveland: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Sandusky: Cedar Point Amusement Park
Kirtland: Holden Arboretum
