Step by Step Algor Example
Algor→ Tools→ Transfer to Superdraw Modify→ Transform XY to YZ Rectangle icon on CAD toolbar. Enter opposite corners in cartesian coordinates; careful using YZ plane!!! View→ Enclose FEA Mesh→ 2-d Mesh Generation→ Generate Mesh Choose file name and appropriate units when prompted Generate→ OK→ Done… be patient

FEA Add→ Heat Transfer Analysis→ Applied Temperature→ Temperature Value→ Desired Value→ [Enter]→ Stiffness→ 1e6→ [Enter] Box Apply→ Select only appropriate nodes→ Done Repeat Box Apply until all boundary conditions are defined.

Click “Model Data” near bottom of screen Analysis Type→ Steady-State Heat Transfer Element→ 2-D→ OK Data→ Thickness→OK Global→ set Boundary Temperature Multiplier to 1; Output→ Nodal Temperature Data; Options→ Invoke Banded Solver→ OK Material→ Choose/Edit→ OK
